We´re back now in Austria!! The last few days had been very exhausting in fact of the unforgettable impressions we had on the Balkan and so we decided to go back to Austria.

8.8 u 9.8.08

Yesterday we had been to a museum of the Kosovo war. It was very tangentially to see all those pictures you have never seen on TV. Also the pictures of the missed people in front of the government building were realy hard stuff! Nevertheless it was a very interesting experience. Special thanks to Behar he is realy a great host! He told us a lot of the country and Pristina.
We also decided yesterday to leave Pristina and go to Belgrad. And people believe me it was the highway to hell!!
First of all our bus didn't stop at the station. Reason: unkown! So we had to take the later bus. It arrived after half an hour delay. We had to stand in fact the bus was already fully booked.
In the bus we met 3 Swiss girls and we told them about the entry regulation. So when we arrived the border they had assurance that they had to go back to Kosovo,..
It's just a summery of that what realy happend, because it's to difficult to explain and would take to much time.
Right now we are in Belgrad and are very tired, so we'll see what happen,..

Today we drove from Skopje to Pristina, but we couldn't take the direct way because otherwise we will get problem at our next journey from Pristina to Belgrad. But it's a little bit difficult to explain the rules of the borders of the Balkan,..
So after a few hours we arrived in Pristina. On the journey through the Kosovo we were realy surprised how well developed the country is. Except the military patrols you can't see anything about the war. All buildings are new and it looks very nice here. Of course it's more saver than Albania. So friends, don't worry about us ;-)

We lucky bastards! Yesterday on the way to Skopje we got a text from a girl that we can sleep at her's. Thats realy great because it's very difficult to find a youthhostel in Skopje. So we met her yesterday and had a few drinks. Today we did sightseeing up to now, but now we decided to have a break because the outsidetemperature is about 36 degrees and it's realy damn hot in the city.

Tomorrow we will go to Pristina, because we've found also a host there,..

4.8.08 - 5.8.08

Today we went from Albania to Mazedonia, because there is a great lake we want to visit. I think we will stay here for two nights but we still don't know where we should sleep. We'll see,..

Ok that was realy crazy! In the whole Balkan people ask you if you need a room and we had always negated. Except yesterday. On the movie you can see the bathroom and toilet to get an idea how people live here!

Today we probably go to Skopje and after that to the Pristina in Kosovo.

1.8.-3.8.08

The journey to Albania was realy a great adventure. We drove by bus with open doors from Kotor to Ulcinj. The busdriver overtook with the 40 years old bus in bends and stuff like that. Via taxi we drove to the Albanien boarder. In fact of a traffic jam we had to cross on food. From the border to Shkoder we also went by taxi - of course with an old Mercedes. Everyone in Albania has an old Mercedes.

Albania was a relly big cultural shock. It's realy a poor country and it's disgusting to see so many kids begging. Also the dust and waste is realy a big problem here. So far,..

The first night we spent at a hostel in Tirana. We met Kendra and went with her to a birthday party. The next day we drove with her to her house in Elbasan. We met many great people at hers which were all from the US. The only Albanian guy we met was Adrian, the Raki-Killer. He's really great!

So we didn't a lot of sightseeing but I think we improved our English very well! We had a great time in Albania but i think there is still a bittersweet feeling,...

30.7. - 1.8.08

We spent the last two nights at the beach and built up our tent next to the tent of a Russian guy.
We went up to the castle of the city, and were lying at the beach. We had a realy great time there but now we have to go to Tirana in Albania because we found a host there. The only problem is that we still do not know how we can get there,...

28.7.-30.7.08

As mentioned we stayed at the camping site of Lastovo for 2 days. It was realy great because there had been no tourists except us. So we had two wonderful days to relax. Yesterday we went by catermaran from Lastovo to Dubrovnik and spent the night at a hostel because it isn´t allowed to camp on the beach and here are very much officers who control that! Dubrovnik is the most beautyful city we have seen up to now! The only problem is that is full of tourist - especially the rich ones and so it´s quite expensive.

In one hour our journey will take us to Kotor in Montenegro - we´ve still no plan were we can sleep at,...

23.7.08 - 27.7.08

Since a few days we are at a small island called Lastovo. It´s a little bit diffecult to get an internetaccess here. After 3 days at the musicfestival we are going now find a campingsite and will stay here for two further days.

22.7.08

Yesterday the ferry started on 20:00 and we arrived at Split on 06:00. In the night we sleept on the gangway like all other passengers did. When we came to split it had been heavy rain. So we had to wait a few hours in a cafe till the rain stopped. Afterwards we looked for a hostel so we can spend one night in there. Then we spent the rest of the day with sightseeing. Split especially the old town is really a great City. So if get the chance to visit Split - do it! In the evening we hanged out with some guys and girls from Great Britain and Canada so we had to talk a lot of English and it was really instructive for us.

21.7.08

In the morning heavy rain waked us up because we were sleeping outside of the tent. The weather forecast promised us nothing good. So we decided to change our plan again. Now we are in Rijeka and don´t know what we´ll do but it seems as if we go by ferry to Split or Dubrovnik.

Today Ana has shown us the city of Zagreb. Indeed time wasn´t enough but it was quit interesting.
After that cultural tour she took us to the bus station from where we went to Krk. The reason that we decided us to go to Krk was that we need some quietness in fact of we did party the last week. So we went to a nudist campsite by bus and on foot (We had about 6 kilometers to walk). The weather was fine during the whole day and we are looking forward for the next few days.

After we got up at about noon Ana put us into the car and abandoned us at the lake. So we rested the whole day at that really nice place. At night Ana has shown us the nightlife of Zagreb again,...

18.7.08

Today we have gone from Ljubljana to Zagreb by train. At our journey we met couple from New Zealand and so we had quit a lot to talk at our journey. At the train station we were picked up from our new host Ana, which is a very funny and crazy girl. We still had quit a lot fun with her. This photo shows Peter and Ana at hanging up in the "evil forest".

Today we spent the time by the riverside on the afternoon. After we were relaxed enough we went up the hill and visited the castle. Later we go and try a slovenian specialty called Pizza Burek. Everyone we met told us that we have to try this very special meal. Ok, it wasn´t so tasty as everyone told us,...

And as you can see (or not) on the photos beside we have seen many more culture ;-)))))

On the evening we met two girls from Australia and went for a few drinks with them,..

So, now our plan looks like, as we go next to Zagreb because we found there a host.

Today we went from Maribor to Ljubljana by train which stoped at each f.....g station. When we ate a steak in the city we decided that Ljubljana have to be the major city of pretty girls. Late at night we met 4 dutch people, 3 finn guys and I think there have also been 3 northern Ireland guys.

When we got up at 9 a.m. we had both a big hangover,... So we were pretty busy to be in time because we had a date with Sara and here friend at 10. After we joined breakfast together, Sara and Denisa have shown us the city of Maribor. We have seen the oldest synagogue of middle-europe, climbed the churchtower, hiked on a hill to a chapel and did stuff like that. For example you can see on the picture on the left side the oldest vine that is over 400 years old and is mentioned in the guiness book of records. It was a realy funny day with that two girls.
Now we are going to prepare us for PARTY!!!!

I think our party has been very succesful because we - especially Beda - had quit a lot fun :-))))

Today we started our south-Europe trip at Linz. On the journey to our first stop Maribor we met a nice girl called Sara, who lives in Maribor.
When we arrived at the mainsquare of Maribor our host Matej (photo) who is a very nice guy picked us up. We joined a tasty but very greasy dinner with him. Afterwards he had shown us the nightlife of Maribor. We met students from spain, slovenia and austria, which told us that tomorrow a party for Austrian students will take place at Maribor and so we decided to stay one day longer here,....
