We´re back now in Austria!! The last few days had been very exhausting in fact of the unforgettable impressions we had on the Balkan and so we decided to go back to Austria.

8.8 u 9.8.08

Yesterday we had been to a museum of the Kosovo war. It was very tangentially to see all those pictures you have never seen on TV. Also the pictures of the missed people in front of the government building were realy hard stuff! Nevertheless it was a very interesting experience. Special thanks to Behar he is realy a great host! He told us a lot of the country and Pristina.
We also decided yesterday to leave Pristina and go to Belgrad. And people believe me it was the highway to hell!!
First of all our bus didn't stop at the station. Reason: unkown! So we had to take the later bus. It arrived after half an hour delay. We had to stand in fact the bus was already fully booked.
In the bus we met 3 Swiss girls and we told them about the entry regulation. So when we arrived the border they had assurance that they had to go back to Kosovo,..
It's just a summery of that what realy happend, because it's to difficult to explain and would take to much time.
Right now we are in Belgrad and are very tired, so we'll see what happen,..

Today we drove from Skopje to Pristina, but we couldn't take the direct way because otherwise we will get problem at our next journey from Pristina to Belgrad. But it's a little bit difficult to explain the rules of the borders of the Balkan,..
So after a few hours we arrived in Pristina. On the journey through the Kosovo we were realy surprised how well developed the country is. Except the military patrols you can't see anything about the war. All buildings are new and it looks very nice here. Of course it's more saver than Albania. So friends, don't worry about us ;-)

We lucky bastards! Yesterday on the way to Skopje we got a text from a girl that we can sleep at her's. Thats realy great because it's very difficult to find a youthhostel in Skopje. So we met her yesterday and had a few drinks. Today we did sightseeing up to now, but now we decided to have a break because the outsidetemperature is about 36 degrees and it's realy damn hot in the city.

Tomorrow we will go to Pristina, because we've found also a host there,..

4.8.08 - 5.8.08

Today we went from Albania to Mazedonia, because there is a great lake we want to visit. I think we will stay here for two nights but we still don't know where we should sleep. We'll see,..

Ok that was realy crazy! In the whole Balkan people ask you if you need a room and we had always negated. Except yesterday. On the movie you can see the bathroom and toilet to get an idea how people live here!

Today we probably go to Skopje and after that to the Pristina in Kosovo.

1.8.-3.8.08

The journey to Albania was realy a great adventure. We drove by bus with open doors from Kotor to Ulcinj. The busdriver overtook with the 40 years old bus in bends and stuff like that. Via taxi we drove to the Albanien boarder. In fact of a traffic jam we had to cross on food. From the border to Shkoder we also went by taxi - of course with an old Mercedes. Everyone in Albania has an old Mercedes.

Albania was a relly big cultural shock. It's realy a poor country and it's disgusting to see so many kids begging. Also the dust and waste is realy a big problem here. So far,..

The first night we spent at a hostel in Tirana. We met Kendra and went with her to a birthday party. The next day we drove with her to her house in Elbasan. We met many great people at hers which were all from the US. The only Albanian guy we met was Adrian, the Raki-Killer. He's really great!

So we didn't a lot of sightseeing but I think we improved our English very well! We had a great time in Albania but i think there is still a bittersweet feeling,...

We spent the last two nights at the beach and built up our tent next to the tent of a Russian guy.
We went up to the castle of the city, and were lying at the beach. We had a realy great time there but now we have to go to Tirana in Albania because we found a host there. The only problem is that we still do not know how we can get there,...
